By far the single most significant speech in human history – the final earthly words spoken by Jesus – includes the most compact expression of the Christian mission ever spoken. Its powerful declaration continues to reverberate through the corridors of time like peals of rolling thunder: "Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.  All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments."  Matthew 22:37-40

The Great Commandment sets the parameters of our service to Him. It's a call for every member of God's family. And it is GREAT. We will have other life tasks, but our primary work is to fulfill the Great Commandment– in our home, in our personal life, in our neighborhood, in our workplace, in our community ... and beyond. We have been entrusted to share the Good News of Christ! This is a privilege each of us shares, as well as a responsibility we must take personally.

The purpose of Heartland Community Baptist Church is to glorify God by obeying the Great commandment and the Great Commission resulting in a Great New Testament Church.
